Founder
Gerre founded Senior Move Services in 2007 after managing her own father’s move from his home of 50 years to a retirement community. The dramatic improvement in his health and quality of life inspired her to create a business that offered the same outcome to other older adults, baby boomers, and seniors in greater Kansas City.
Owner / Move Manager
David learned about the moving process during his five years as a professional mover in Kansas City and Colorado. After that, he worked for Enterprise for four years and although it was a great company, he never found true fulfillment through the rental car industry. As his mom, Gerre, closed the books on her 14th year of business, she began wondering how to pass on her legacy. Throughout the years, David helped Gerre with numerous clients and projects within Senior Move Services. Paired with his expertise as a professional mover and gained business knowledge from Gerre, they both felt it was time to pass the torch. In January of 2022, David Wade became the new official owner of Senior Move Services. The level of joy and gratitude of helping seniors transition to their next chapter of living makes him thankful every single day.
Transition Specialist
In the fall of 2019, McKenna left her home state of Nebraska and moved to Kansas to embark on her career of Radiation Therapy. She worked in the Radiation Oncology department at AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission and took pride in caring for cancer patients during some of their toughest days. Three years later, she began hearing about the awesome way David (her significant other) and Gerre were also helping people in need. After many thoughtful conversations with David and one difficult decision to leave AdventHealth, she followed her heart and joined Senior Move Services. Being able to help the aging population in an often overwhelming and emotional time has sparked true passion in McKenna’s life.
